Faith in the First Lie

Twisted and crooked, but tempting all the same, the worst decision in human history took place in the shadow of the tree of knowledge, whereby a sinuous liar preached a message of personal godhood to our earliest ancestors, and that first lie persists strongly today, cultivated ever more broadly through the mass promotion of naturalism, a notion supported by the twin broken pillars of the evolution paradigm and deep-time. From the first bite of its captivating fruit came death and disease and a fallen world, and despite all our advances, mankind is still enthralled by that first lie, “Ye shall be as gods”, as our collective cultures prepare to make good on its claim through the application of biotechnology, robotics, and other novel approaches...
